White Rim Trail


The entrance to White Rim Trail. One hundred plus miles of dry desert, steep climbs, sand, rock, and beauty.



I love this sign. Its posted several miles into White Rim Trail. No forms, no deposit box, just this sign in the middle of nowhere. Think I paid?






Sand is not your friend. There was entirely too much of this.


Looking back on the road I just traveled.


This shot involved setting a 30 second timer and running like mad. The road ahead follows the river below.













Reference itty bitty white truck for scale. At this spot the road is closest to the edge (see below). Fall off here and you'll have some time to think about the hard landing.


These boulders amount to what is considered a guard rail in Moab.

Don't look down.
