Alls Well That Ends Well
Round trip from the Moab Shell Station and back a full ten hours later.
Utah has a strange law requiring that ordering alcohol must be accompanied with food. It drives the local bars mad because it turns many customers away. I wasn't planning to eat here but the bacon, blue-cheese jalapeno burger changed my mind. What would we do without the gubment protecting us from ourselves!
Open mic night. Notice how his guitar matches the backdrop. Thats takin it serious!
I broke down in Farmington on the way home. Initially i thought it was the clutch but later found it was the front sprocket. Either way, the bike would not move one more inch. Fumbling with the bike for about 15 minutes I couldn't believe how many people offered help. This couple stopped, helped me push the bike to a lot across the street and gave a ride to main street where i could work out a fix. Thanks Spike Hat! It didn't take long for a plan to materialize because, as luck would have it, Julie and Steve were at a soccer tournament in Durango headed for home. A ten mile detour to Farmington and i had a ride home. Thanks again Jul and Steve.
A next day round trip to Farmington fetched the bike home. Great trip with a relatively minor nuisance of a breakdown that could have been much worse.
