San Luis Obispo

We wandered back to the room with a couple bottles of wine. Michael pulled out his laptop and started up music which turned into a sort of music exchange. I fired up my laptop and we alternated playing songs while sipping wine into the night. It was a great time and birthday gift. Thanks guys.

Michael, I later downloaded a couple my favorite songs from that evening. My favorite was You Know My Name by Chris Cornell.

As often happens, we were there for a while.

After wandering around town and taking in the sites we stumbled into the Black Sheep Bar and Grill. Stumbled might be an exaggeration given that in actuality, we cruised the town with the ever watchful eye for locating the tavern we would eventually settle upon. Black Sheep was the unanimous choice and did not disappoint. I couldn't help but wonder what inspired the name - was its owner the black sheep of his family and carried that legacy in the naming of his establishment? I pondered the notion of a black sheep in the Campbell family? If there was, it certainly wasn't me, in fact I think the title 'Dudley Dooright' was more to my fitting. If there was discernible black sheep in the family (none of us were angels), it would be for Frank and Stuart to debate and establish the bearer of that noble distinction. Guys, In the event of a stalemate don't look to me to cast the deciding vote.

Anyway, enough of that. We assumed our perch at the best seat in the place and proceeded to satisfy our beer craving and pack it down with bar food.

The boyz treated me to a weekend in San Luis Obispo for my fiddyeth birthday.
